Danga Bay, Johor

Recently I went to Johor for a business trip and took the time to have a late dinner at Danga Bay. It's been a long time since I last went there. The seafood at Danga Bay is awesome! The atmosphere is really romantic but to bad I was there with a male friend (dang!).

Anyways, took the time to practice my low-lighting photography by shooting there at Danga Bay late at nigh. Enjoy!

Cycling: Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)

Here's another late post on my cycling activity. This was actually ridden on 20/3/2011 and was taken using my trusted Canon Powershot G11.

This time, me and my cycling bro Zaim tried the trail ride at Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM). It's called Cross-Country(XC) in mountain biking term. We had a lot of fun and it's definitely challenging for me who is only used to road cycling. What I can say is that, this won't be my last trail ride so expect more pictures from my other trail rides soon!

Without further a due, here are some shots taken at FRIM:

Cycling: Shah Alam - Kota Kemuning

I'm back with more pictures from my cycling collection. This ride was actually done on 23/1/2011 but only now I'm managed to upload it due to heavy workloads and laziness (yes, I suck as a blogger).

Okay so this ride was my normal road cycling activity and this is from Shah Alam to Kota Kemuning. The total distance was around 26Km return with the average speed of 21Km/h. Done with my all time cycling bros, here are the pictures:

Cycling: Shah Alam - TTDI

Cycling is one of my weekly activity and last Saturday me and my cycling bros (Azfar, Zaim & Hafiz) set a new record by traveling from Shah Alam - TTDI - Bukit Kiara - TTDI - Shah Alam on our mountain bikes. The trip is 50KM long return and we spent..well, about 10 hours including breakfast, lunch and photography sessions here and there.
Although it's really tiring but we did had an awesome time. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

The Return To Sabah - Chapter 1

So recently I had a family reunion (fyi, I'm Sabahan raised in Semenanjung) at Keningau, Sabah. Since I'm more of a photo blogging, I'll post more pictures than words. If u really wanna know what we did in Sabah, please head on to my brother's website at Teh Tarik Memoirs.

Okay since there's too many pictures need to be uploaded, I'll divide them into chapters. For this first chapter, I'll post all the scenery and flora in Sabah. This is dedicated to all you nature and tree huggers out there!

That's all for this chapter. Stay tune for the next chapter coming soon!

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Fever

I'm struck with Scott Pilgrim vs The World fever currently which the comic-based movie will be shown this November here in Malaysia (it's already out in other countries. damn!).

In case any of you didn't get what Scott Pilgrim is all about, here's the theatrical trailer of the movie:

And my favorite character would probably be Todd Ingram played by Brandon Routh. Although the character is your typical jock type but coz he looks cool and he has this Vegan power which makes him have an ability to telekinesis.

And so, I did my Todd Ingram pose too:

A Night In Perhentian

A few weeks ago, me and my bros were chilling at our usual mamak stall in Shah Alam to counter our boredom and work stress (yeah right). Suddenly, we had a crazy idea of driving all the way to Terengganu for an island hop to Pulau Perhentian. Since I never been there before and that's the only commercial island I haven't been to in Terengganu (the others are Redang and Kapas) so our trip were decided and planned to go two days after. With all the last minute plan, we managed to get the details of the island and booked a sweet hotel in the island called Shari-la Island Resort. Btw, we went to Perhentian Kecil coz there's where all the chicks hang out okay?

We only spend a night there and we managed to do a lot of activities such as snorkeling and discovery scuba. At night, the nightlife is better compared to Redang and of course, the dead at night Kapas. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves and we'll be coming back for our diving license after the monsoon season.

Here are the pictures taken during the trip. No pictures around the beach because of the time constraints and I wanna enjoy the beach rather than shooting pictures for u guys.

And an Ultra Wide Angle view of Perhentian Kecil by yours truly HERE
