Telekom Malaysia(TM) will finally launch High Speed Broadband(HSBB) to the public pretty much the 1st quarter of 2010. They're using Fiber-To-The-Home(FTTH) technology for home users so we can enjoy high speed internet at the comfort of ourhome.
For now, the price hasn't been revealed yet but the connection speed is confirmed to be ranging from 10mb/s and up to 1gb/s. That's some serious speed there guys (yes I know Japan is now enjoying their 2gb/s connection). People my ask, why that much speed? Well, TM is gonna bring in IPTV with their HSBB so that we can enjoy streaming movies & videos anytime.
Okay for now, only certain major cities in Malaysia (Klang Valley & Johor) are gonna enjoy HSBB this near future. But not to worry, other cities will definitely get their slice of pie. Now, let us just play the waiting game.
If you're not sure that your area is gonna be the first, look out for this green bad boys parked close to your house parameter:
If you guys spotted them, congratulations! You're gonna be the 1st batch to enjoy high speed broadband!
I'll definitely gonna subscribe to their package if the price is right but for now, I'm just gonna bear with my 4mb/s connection.
And to TM, I hope you guys will deliver what you promised especially regarding the speed and after sales service coz probably this will change the public view on you guys.
