Steamboat Dinner With Kamilia's Family

Yesterday night was a blast! I was invited to have dinner at Flaming Steamboat at Sunway by Kamilia's family. Thank you again to Kak Kauthar for the awesome dinner and I think, It's one of the best seafood steamboat around town (well I always go to Johnny's but Flaming's kicks Johnny's ass for sure!).

I was busy enjoying the food and forgot to snap some food photos. But you can still see some leftovers in couple of the pictures below:

Trip To Singapore '09

Last weekend, my and my good buddy Edzuan & his family (Ija & Mikael) went for a trip to Singapore to catch Danny Choo at the Anime Festival Asia '09 held at Suntec Convention Centre and to well, take a time off from work? As it seems..

Anyways, to try out my new UWA lens (oh yeah!), I went wide angle all around Singapore snapping the beautiful architectures just like a typical tourist (but better coz I packed my tripod too!). Ok I'll shut up now. Here are some shots:

The Ion Orchard Shopping Mall. Current favorite spot for visitors & shoppers around.

Part of the interior in Ion Orchard. Nice!

Vivo City Shopping Mall. One of my favourite mall at Sg.

This was taken near the monorail to Sentosa Island at Vivo City. My SLR almost fell while shooting this!

This is the outer side of Vivo near Food Republic

One of my favorite shops in Singapore is the National Geographic Store Singapore in Vivo City. The shop is really large and full of National Geographic goodies. So far, there's only 2 NG shops worldwide and the next one will be at Kuala Lumpur (yeay!). Anyways, here are some shots taken in the fantastic shop:

This wall is full of pictures taken from the National Geographic magazine. Nice!

National Geographic magazines in the chamber

Some wood action going on around here

Sweet candles for sale over here

On day 2, we went straight to Suntec Convention & Exibition Hall for the AFA'09. When we arrived, a huge number of nerds geeks people are lining to get their tickets for the event. Although I prefer to just tap the guy in front of the line pretending to be his friend but I went civic minded and queue like the rest. (well I saw someone using my strategy there..)

We got our tickets and ready to go!

A whole loads of manga to choose from

The Manga & Anime Society

At last, I managed to get a shot with the one & only Danny Choo! Btw, ignore the poster on the right

A piece of the SMRT station. With the Edzuans by the side

Our main transport around Singapore. Really reliable & it's cheap too!

They said people humped at this road

On day 3, we took the SMRT from Novena to Harbour Front and ride the Sentosa Express monorail to Sentosa Island. U may view the guide HERE on how to go to Sentosa Island. On the way to Sentosa, I saw the under construction Universal Studios Singapore. (the Far Far Away Castle is up at least).

Once we reached Sentosa, we grab some grubs on the go(while Mikael gets some nappy change). Then, we went for the 1st attraction which is the Gogreen Segway Eco Adventure! We had a blast riding it (although it's just for a couple of minutes) which makes us thinking to get 1 but canceled once we knew the price. I can get a freakin' bike with the price, man!

Me want ride the Segway!

Look at me ma, I'm riding a Segway!

I swear I saw a Rancor down there

Feels just like running down mount Akina

During the trip, we spend the whole day walking. There's one day where me & Edzuan walked more than 12 hours straight! It took me 3 days to recover from the sore feet. Here are some more pictures:

We had dinner at the Fish Co.

At night, it's party night! There's a lot of clubs, pubs and bar at Clark Quay as all the nightlife is located there. We had dinner around and then party like a rockstar till mornin'
